It runs on Thursday evenings, and it’s built a loyal following of regulars who come back week after week for fast-paced, competitive quiz action. Because of that, it’s got the kind of atmosphere that makes the night genuinely hard to miss.
About the night
The Ravelston House quiz runs on Thursday evenings. Over time, it’s developed one of the most consistent and competitive regular crowds of any Premier SpeedQuizzing venue. That’s because the SpeedQuizzing format means the action never stops: live leaderboards update after every question, music rounds and picture rounds keep things varied, and high-energy games like Music Bingo and Open The Box bring the best moments of the evening. Every team also answers on their own device, so everyone’s involved and nobody can copy their neighbour’s answers.

Ravelston House is a well-established venue in Musselburgh, East Lothian. It’s well-located too, drawing players from across Musselburgh, Prestonpans, Tranent, and the surrounding area. On top of that, it offers a welcoming environment and a good bar — exactly the kind of space that works perfectly for a well-attended quiz night.
The venue’s Premier SpeedQuizzing night launched in January 2024, and it’s grown steadily ever since. Since then, the Thursday quiz has become one of the most reliably busy nights in Musselburgh.
