Background
We have been hosting pub quizzes for many years, moving into SpeedQuizzing in 2014. SpeedQuizzing was in its infancy at that time and has now evolved into an amazing pub quizzing platform.
The software and presentation medium makes SpeedQuizzing invaluable but it is the quizmaster that makes the difference. A good host is the deciding factor in a quizzes success. He must be able to communicate effectively, have a great banter for the specific type of audience. A good technical knowledge and natural ability to use all the tools at his or her disposal
We, at Premier SpeedQuizzing, have masses of experience of presenting to clients at every level in the industry. With thousands of weddings, hundreds of corporate events, and hundreds of more quizzes in our past, we have seen every kind of scenario and provided an excellent service every time. Check out some of our feedback here. With so many events behind us and since we have had to put together our own equipment, we have gained a vast technical knowledge.

What We Provide
There are many different components to running a successful Pub Quiz night and we are fully prepared to overcome any logistical issues you may have. We have hosted at many quizzes of varying sizes and pride our ability to ‘get it right’. To give you an idea I will run through what we can provide.
Sound
At a very basic level, a SpeedQuiz requires the use of a sound system for the presenter to communicate with the quizzers.
At small establishments, we use a small sound system with ample output to suit the area and audience size. For larger events, we have enough resources at our immediate disposal to host to over 600 people. For humungous gatherings, we are happy to hire additional equipment if required.
Video
We know we can’t count on every bar having suitable screens for our hosts to do their job correctly so we have invested in our own. A number of Flatscreen TV’s of various sizes can be provided. We also have digital projectors and giant screens.
If you don’t have your own video networking system we are more than happy to bring our own one along. If you would like some help setting up a network, we can also help with that.
Pub Quiz Presentation
Presentation is the most important feature of quizzing of any form. I have already covered our presentation skills and abilities but we also have the technicalities sorted out.
At a normal bar quiz night, not ours, the presenter will be stuck in one place with a wired microphone or will be using a radio microphone reading from sheets of paper. SpeedQuizzing has its own additional requirements where the quizmaster uses a device, mobile phone, or tablet to present the questions so we need to keep our hands as free as possible. We also like to get out and mingle with our quizzers to get to know them a bit better.
We are always actively covering the whole area getting eye contact with our quizzers. To enable this high level of mobility we use radio microphone headsets to keep our hands free to use the presentation devices and to keep consistent audio with no volume variations or dropouts.
Quiz Format
There are multiple pages on this site where you can get an idea of the kind of pub quiz rounds we do. We are happy to come up with anything to suit your specific venue, clientele, or occasion.
We can include quick cash games or even a gameshow themed night. The most popular addition is Music Bingo.

How Often To Run a Pub Quiz?
The most effective way to create a following is to have a weekly quiz on the same night every week. We have found that the most successful pub quizzes are weekly as the quizzers simply ‘just know’ the quiz is on without having to look for messages, posts, or advertising.
The second most successful frequency for a quiz night is fortnightly. This does require a little bit of work for the quizzers but as long as a regular fortnightly quiz is in place most will form the habit of coming along.
Anything less frequently has been found to be the least successful. We have been contracted to do monthly quizzes. It is easy for quizzers to lose track of how many weeks it has been since the last one. When you add that some months have five weeks, there is a certainty that some quizzers will just lose track.

Payments can be cash on the night by providing invoices in advance. We normally invoice weekly or monthly to fit in with your current invoicing practices.
