SpeedQuizzing Pro Edinburgh is the same system James uses for every live quiz he runs — the regular weekly nights at venues across the city, one-off private hires, and corporate bookings alike. He arrives with the complete setup — wireless technology, live scoring, a full PA system — because, as the trade guidance on running a pub quiz that fills tables points out, a well-run quiz keeps regulars loyal and delivers a steady midweek boost. That’s exactly what your venue gets, week after week.
How players connect
Every player uses their own smartphone to take part. Before the quiz starts, they download the SpeedQuizzing app using their normal internet connection — the only point in the night they need it. Once it’s installed, they connect to our isolated Wi-Fi, which links every device straight to James’s laptop. From there, their phone becomes a live buzzer and answer pad for the entire night: the app submits, scores, and displays each answer on the leaderboard screen automatically.
What SpeedQuizzing Pro Edinburgh Includes
- Live leaderboards — scores update on the main screen after every single question, visible to the whole room
- Speed Bonus scoring — the faster you answer correctly, the more points you score, keeping tension high throughout
- Keypad rounds — letters, numbers, multiple choice, sequences
- Buzzing rounds — buzz in first (Classic) or race for points across correct answers (Advanced)
- Picture rounds — images sent directly to every device
- Music rounds — audio played through the PA system
- Observation rounds — video clips with questions based on what you saw
- Sequence rounds — put things in the right order
- Nearest Wins — closest number to the correct answer wins, ends every quiz on a high

What’s included at every event
James fully hosts every Premier SpeedQuizzing Pro event himself. He handles setup, question rounds, scoring, banter, music rounds and jackpot games, so your venue only needs to provide the Wi-Fi password and the room. Because James also runs Premier Disco, he can extend any event with a DJ set after the quiz.
SpeedQuizzing Pro vs SpeedQuizzing Live
In-person is what sets SpeedQuizzing Pro Edinburgh apart from its sister platform — the complete range of formats, jackpot games and live audience atmosphere, all under one roof. By contrast, SpeedQuizzing Live is the online version, designed for remote or hybrid events run via Zoom, with a slightly reduced feature set but the same core quiz technology.
