SpeedQuizzing uses your smartphone as a wireless buzzer and answer device — no paper, no pencils, no waiting for papers to be marked. Every question is answered in real time, scored automatically, and the leaderboard updates live on the big screen after every single question.
There are several different round formats we use across a typical quiz night. Here’s how each one works.
Round formats
- Keypad — the standard question format, covering letters, numbers, multiple choice, and more
- Buzzing Classic — buzz in first to answer, first correct answer wins the points
- Buzzing Advanced — buzz in order, with points distributed across the fastest correct answers
- Observation — watch a video clip, then answer questions on what you saw
- Picture Round — images sent directly to every device, questions based on what you see
- Music Round — audio clips played through the system, identify the artist, song, or answer related questions
- Speed Bonus — the faster you answer correctly, the more points you score
- Nearest Wins — the closest answer to a number wins, no exact answer required
- Sequence — put a list of things in the correct order to score full points
Every quiz night includes a mix of these formats to keep things varied and ensure that everyone — regardless of their knowledge — has something they can contribute to. Get in touch to find out more or book an event.
