Cuddie Brae Jackpot A New High of £620

Written by JamesV

The Winner

This week’s winner is Scrambled Eggheads. They are not new to winning but it has been a while. Convincing winners even without the jackpots. 1225 points on the night with Between A Rock And A Hard Place in second with 1115 points on the night.

Surprising Performance

New team, The Boys From Brazil, are making an impression and I expect them to be future winners! The Dingles, who have played three times, are definitely the surprise act by taking pole position in the league table which started at the beginning of the year. Great performances from them but can they keep it up as their handicap starts to make an impact?

This was the first event with the new handicapping system, which I will tweak over the coming weeks. The scores are still very close with a good grouping of teams within around 200 points. It only takes the questions to swing just a little to change the whole scoreboard. No shame to any team this week, with the exception of Team Redundant who were well RUBBISH. All other teams are well within contention to get a top half score.

New Teams This Week

The new teams this week were I’ve Got 99 Problems But A Quiz Ain’t 1, OPITO1, OPITIFILESv2, Team Redundant (so far down the scoreboard they can’t be seen) and Dale Winton’s Burger Bonus. These guys play SpeedQuizzing in Glasgow and sneaked in as a new team. I hope to see you all again.

Jackpots Still Intact

Both Jackpot games are still intact and increase for yet another week. PYCR now sits at £61, a decent wee amount of cash to win.

Open The Box is proving to be a very popular game with a high level of participation. That could be down to the Jackpot which is now at a record level of £620. An easy win with now a 1 in 5 chance of winning next week. Surely somebody can pick the right ball and open that box!

I’ll be back again next Thursday at 8pm with an opportunity to win the biggest jackpot we have had, banter and Easter Eggs. See you then

Oh, and!

Steven, well what can I say babe!
