The Hostess Trollies Win At Their Second Attempt!

After a fantastic run out last week for their very first SpeedQuiz, The Hostess Trollies topped our quiz scoreboard on July 21st 2022 for their first win. For a brand new team, they have mastered how the quiz works in a very short time. These guys are certainly going to be one of our best teams going forward.
Make sure you book your tables a week in advance for the best chance to get your preferred tables, see below for a link to the Cuddie Brae booking site.
Scoreboard
Bell’s Bairns had an amazing quiz, climbing up the scoreboard in every round and seeming to be dominating with some amazing play and leading at the end of the normal quiz rounds. All their efforts were laid to waste with the result of the nearest wins 100-point question. The Hostess Trollies snatched the win leaving the Bairns languishing in second place.
The Newbies had another good day finishing a close third place. Dumb and Dumber and the Lonely Wino ended up joint fourth with a cluster of other teams close behind.
A number of teams were missing this week but we look forward to welcoming you all back again next week.

Jackpot Games
There was no Jackpot winner this week
£1 was won on Take It Or Leave It by The Dipshits.
The Take It Or Leave It jackpot will rise £92 for our next quiz.
The BIG game, Open The Box, had a jackpot prize of £250 but it was not won tonight.
The jackpot remains at £250 next week,
Music Bingo
Our theme this week was Brit Pop featuring music from solo acts and bands from the UK. Incidentally, there were two songs in the playlist featuring the band Shed Seven. Alan Leach, the designer and big wig at SpeedQuizzing HQ plays drums in this band. You neb=ver know, this might come up in a quiz at some point
We paid out £10 for a line and £23 for the full house.. Join us again next week for another game of music bingo.
Book Your Table Now!
It is even more important now than ever, due to fewer tables being available because of the current virus advice, to make sure you book your tables in advance. I would suggest getting onto the Cuddie Brae booking site a week in advance and reserving your favourite table. Click the image below to do just that.

If you leave it too late and can’t book online, contact the Cuddie Brae directly by Facebook or phone on 0131 657 1212. You never know, your table ‘might’ still be available.
Get In Early!
It would be a great help if all teams could be there and ready for 745 pm. This will allow time to get any connection issues sorted as well as the handicapping in place and ready to start.
