Fantastic Turnout!
This week we had about 40 quizzers in 12 teams. After just 3 previous weeks this is a great turnout.
The quiz is becoming more popular so you really should consider booking your tables a week in advance to make sure you get your preferred tables, see below for a link to the Cuddie Brae booking site.
Due to a few new teams this week it took a bit of time to get organised so we started a bit late. It would be a great help if all teams could be there and ready for 745 pm. This will allow time to get any connection issues sorted as well as the handicapping in place ready to start.
This Week’s Winners
Winning two out of the past 3 weeks, the Creepy Blinders played yet another blinder. Are these guys going to be the new dominant team? I think they are. The return of the handicapping will sort them out and give the rest of you a chance to win.
It was apparent from early on that the Creepy Blinders were in the mood. Hearing their buzzer repeat time after time was a definite indication of a good win coming up. And a good win it was, clear of the chasing pack by almost 200 points.
Dumb & Dumber have made full use of the lockdowns by continually playing online quizzes. They have improved massively and have ended second in the past 2 quizzes. That handicapping might just be enough for them to get ahead of the Creepy Blinders soon.
Scoreboard
This is a good scoreboard for the first quiz where handicaps were applied. Final scores are grouped nicely but the Creepy Blinders are the obvious winners by a decent amount. One word, ‘HANDICAP’, watch out for it guys. It will come to bite your butt!
Jackpot Games
We had our usual two jackpot games this week. The BIG game, Open The Box, was not won again so this increases to £865 for our next quiz. £66 was won on Take It Or Leave It by the Creepy Blinders to give them a cash boost for their Christmas night out fund. This will start again at £52 at our next quiz.
Book Your Table Now!
As can be seen from the past two weeks our numbers are starting to get pretty high. It is even more important now than ever, due to fewer tables being available because of the current virus regulations, to make sure you book your tables in advance. I would suggest getting onto the Cuddie Brae booking site a week in advance and reserving your favourite table. Click the image below to do just that.

If you leave it too late and can’t book online, contact the Cuddie Brae directly by Facebook or phone on 0131 657 1212. You never know your table ‘might’ still be available.
Music Bingo
I had intended to bring Music Bingo to our Thursday nights. Unfortunately, this has had to be put on hold. We need the full quiz area supported by video screens but currently, the large screen is playing difficult. Nothing has changed but for some reason, we can have either the two smaller screens or the large one but not all three together.
I am working on finding a way to get them talking again but this will take time. Hopefully, sometime soon we can try out Music Bingo.
