Quiz Khalifa just keep coming back and winning. Another £25 venue gift card for them to spend.
Another good turnout at The Cuddie Brae. We were missing a couple of regular teams, both away on holiday, but we still managed to get 11 teams in. A few new teams showed up and as always, it was great to see you all.
Quiz Khalifa managed to open up a gap at the top for a convincing victory. That could be because the questions fell right into their ‘expertise’. Before this win, Quiz Khalifa were the 15th best regular team we have. With a convincing win, they are now 12th so it’s going to get harder to win.
Again, the rest of the regular teams were nicely bunched up with only 138 points separating then next six.
This Week’s New Teams
Our new teams all finished at the foot of the scoreboard.
There were three new teams joining us this week. Night Horse, with their very dubious buzzer sound, finished highest of these three in 9th place. These guys settled in well which could be seen by their willingness to voice their opinions, as wrong as they were. Remember the quiz master is ALWAYS right! It was good to see you again Shannon after such a long time, you are looking well.
The Beavers were visiting the area for a few days and returning down south today. It was good to see you. Look out for other SpeedQuizzies near where you live.
You’re a Quizzard Harry finished last. A right motley crew of not very knowledgeable quizzers. They tried very hard but it seems their brains went into meltdown and they failed miserably.
Not to worry, if the missing Dipshits can get a win, anybody can! The handicaps will help you improve your final scoreboard position.
Scoreboard
The Belters continue to compete for the win. After their hard-fought recent win, The Belters continue to fight finishing second this week. They have had a few good finishes but each one comes with a handicap punishment. Will they remain in the battle for victory or dwindle away to the mid scoreboard? I think the latter, the great run of results can’t go on much longer, can it?
Jackpot Games
Darren from The AA’s continues his recent run of good luck. A winner of the Take It Or Leave It jackpot of £60 just a couple of weeks ago, he again won on the same game. This time he went home with £11, well done Darren.
No Open The Box winner again this week so the jackpot rises to £500 next Thursday.
