New Team, Zoo Crew and their First Win!

First time to play and the first time to win.
A brand new team and they win on their very first attempt. Zoo Crew arrived at the last minute joined the quiz and went on to win. That is some achievement since it normally takes a few quizzes to get the hang of the app. Let’s see what they have in store for us on their next few visits.
They had this in the bag after the last round and the only way they would get beat was if one of the other top 5 teams gained the 100 points from the nearest wins question. That didn’t happen so the Zoo Crew gained their first victory, well done guys!
Make sure you book your tables a week in advance for the best chance to get your preferred tables, see below for a link to the Cuddie Brae booking site.
Scoreboard
Good performances from a few of our teams kept the tension up right to the last question. The Newbies had another good result in second place with A Team With No Name a very close third. Simple Minds pulled off a great result in fourth ahead of The Hostess Trollies. Walt Quizney made good use of their 50-point crappy team bonus for a fifth-place finish.
Every team will have made a typo or had over-excited incorrect answers throughout the night. Winning could be as simple as cutting out a single mistake for some teams.
The quiz tonight was a bit more challenging than usual which saw some of our higher-ranked teams only reach mid-table. The Creepy Blinders and Scrambled Eggheads both had indifferent results compared to their normal high standards. Dumb and Dumber and The Hair Blair Bunch both had nightmare results finishing close to the bottom of the scoreboard. Sometimes the questions just don’t line up with your knowledge, it happens! I am sure both teams will be pushing towards the top in the coming weeks.

Worst Team Of The Night
Tonight the crappy team award goes to The Hair Blair Bunch finishing second last to Team With No Table who were appearing for one night only. They have the privilege of owning the Joker card until their next quiz when they will be awarded a bonus of 50 points.
Jackpot Games
We had no jackpot winner this week
The first £15 was won on Higher or Lower by Bells Bairns.
I am hoping this new jackpot game will become as popular as Open The box. It has the potential of generating a decent cash jackpot and guarantees a winner every single week.
I put a lot of time into developing the spreadsheet and graphic interface from scratch for this so my fingers are crossed that it will stay with us for a while. I have redesigned the interface today so hopefully, it will be a bit more visually pleasing next week, that is if it works of course.
The BIG game, Open The Box, had a jackpot prize of £365 but it was not won tonight.
The jackpot will increase to £385 next week,
Music Bingo
Our theme this week was Euro Dance featuring some of the best Euro Dance tracks mainly from the 90’s and early 2000’s. I am always looking for new themes to base the music bingo on so if any of you have any ideas, I’d like to hear them
We paid out £11 for a line and £26 for the full house with a £13 snowball bonus if the full house called on less than 46 songs. This remains intact for next time. Join us again next week for another game of music bingo.
Book Your Table Now!
It is even more important now than ever, due to fewer tables being available because of the current virus advice, to make sure you book your tables in advance. I would suggest getting onto the Cuddie Brae booking site a week in advance and reserving your favourite table. Click the image below to do just that.

If you leave it too late and can’t book online, contact the Cuddie Brae directly by Facebook or phone on 0131 657 1212. You never know, your table ‘might’ still be available.
Get In Early!
It would be a great help if all teams could be there and ready for 745 pm. This will allow time to get any connection issues sorted as well as the handicapping in place and ready to start.
