The Team With No Name Breaks the Wino’s Winning Streak!

Scoreboard
Team With No Name secures a much-awaited victory, ending The Lonely Wino‘s winning streak. Bells Bairns also impressed and seemed to be on track for their own win, but a strong finish by the top 5 teams made for a thrilling close to the night’s events.
The Newsaders, a merge of the Newbies and the Crusaders, exceeded all expectations with their remarkable performance in their debut outing, claiming a coveted top 4 finish.
Walt Quizney‘s success in the Nearest Wins Question, worth 100 points, helped secure a commendable 6th place finish.

Despite being top teams, The Boys from Brazil, Zoo Crew, and the Creepy Blinders are currently struggling and finding themselves in the bottom half of the scoreboard. However, I expect a turnaround in their performance in the upcoming weeks. I am certain these teams will bounce back from their recent setbacks.
Worst Team Of The Night
Tonight’s “crappy team” award goes to The Dipshits, who finished at the bottom of the scoreboard. They will proudly claim the 50-point “numpty” bonus on the next quiz night.
Jackpot Games
We had no jackpot winner this week
To keep things interesting, Take It Or Leave It has returned for the next few weeks. Team With No Name had the privilege of playing it first and made smart decisions, eliminating lower-value boxes and refusing to settle early on. However, as the game progressed, the remaining big boxes were revealed, and Nora ultimately decided to take the £2 offer with only a few boxes left. As it turns out, it was a wise move as the final two boxes only contained £1 each.
Regarding the BIG game, Open The Box, the jackpot prize was set at £370 but went unclaimed by The Newaders during the quiz. This means that the prize pool will be increased to £380 for the next time. Don’t miss your chance to win big!
Music Bingo
Our theme for this week’s Music Bingo was ‘Party’, featuring a mix of some of the most requested songs from parties I have run over the past couple of years. Congratulations to Team With No Name for winning the four corners and full house prizes.
If you have any ideas for new music bingo themes, please share them with us. We are always on the lookout for fresh ideas.
For this week’s game, we paid out £16 for two vertical lines and £37 for the full house. Join us again next week for another exciting round of Music Bingo.
Team With No Name
What can I say?
It was an exceptional night for the winning team as they went all out and secured a double win. They emerged victorious in the quiz, taking home the £25 food voucher, and also claimed the £53 allocated for the music bingo. Though they also had an opportunity to win £54 in Take It Or Leave It, they were unfortunately unsuccessful. Nevertheless, it was an impressive performance and a night to remember for the triumphant team.

Book Your Table Now!
Due to the increasing number of teams attending the quiz, it is now more important than ever to book your tables in advance. We have a large number of regular teams, and even a few irregular ones showing up on busy nights can fill up the Cuddie Brae quickly.
To ensure a spot, we suggest reserving your favourite table through the Cuddie Brae booking site at least a week in advance.
If you are looking to attend regularly, please speak to Nick, who will be happy to help you get a regular booking.
Direct link to the Cuddie Brae booking page: Book | Cuddie Brae | Greene King Local Pubs (greeneking-pubs.co.uk)
If you leave it too late and can’t book online, contact the Cuddie Brae directly by Facebook or phone on 0131 657 1212. You never know, your table ‘might’ still be available.
Get In Early!
It would be greatly appreciated if all teams could arrive and be ready by 7:15 pm. This will allow time to resolve any connection issues and implement the handicapping system before the quiz begins.
It is important to let Nick at the Cuddie know if you have a table booked and cannot attend for any reason. This helps with table management and avoids any unnecessary issues.
Please make sure to inform Nick if you cannot attend. Not only will this help with table management at future quizzes, but Nick will also appreciate your cooperation.
